  • Will carry out research projects with two goals: to help the Group identify and prepare for the next breakthrough technologies, and to invent new uses and services concepts;

Since 2001, CityPassenger, a 20 employees SME, develops secured network infrastructures dedicated for enterprise applications (around 800 customers worldwide). Internet of Trust is dedicated to consulting on Security of embedded and connected systems. Created in 2014, the company is owned entirely by individuals and is managed by Claire Loiseaux, CEO and Carolina Lavatelli, CTO. Internet of Trust has a strong expertise built on PhD background and 20 years of experience in consulting and evaluation of the smart cards, applications, mobile devices. Its people are used to make « first-of » and to create from cross-domain expertise. Internet of Trust invests in standardisation organisations such as Common Criteria with being member of JTEMS and ISCI and is very active in organisation such as Global Platform with leading action in TEE, Premium content, Payment and Identity.



Prove & Run helps its customers to meet the security challenges of embedded systems and connected devices. Thanks to a patented software development toolchain based on innovative proof techniques, Prove & Run can deal with the development of the most sensitive software components (microkernels, hypervisors, OSes, secure bootloaders, etc) and meet the highest security requirements (CC EAL7 and more) in a cost effective manner, taking also into account time-to-market and required skill levels constraints. Prove & Run was founded in 2009 and is a rapidly-growing software company, staffed with researchers and engineers who are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of computer science and software development. Prove & Run is independent and privately owned by its management team which has a solid track-record in turning innovation into successful businesses.

Prove & Run's main product are the ProvenTools. The ProvenTools enable a software engineer to build formal models of software components (including functional and non-functional constraints and properties) and then to gradually refine these models into implementation-level models, while maintaining perfect coherence between each level. This approach allows the software engineer to be mathematically certain that a property expressed in a specification-level model is still fully satisfied by every implementation-level model, and thus to get as close as possible to zero-bug software. The ProvenTools is result of the collaboration of 15 R&D engineers, including 11 PhDs in formal methods.



2XS (eXtra Small eXtra Safe) is a team of the LIFL laboratory of "Université de Lille". Its research activities are focused on tools and languages for the performance and security of highly constrained devices. The team aims to provide solutions to enhance the adaptability and programmability of small devices starting from small sensors (IoT), smart cards to mobile phone. They mainly use two complementary fields: embedded operating systems and associated tools that are programming languages, formal proofs and automatic software processing and analysis. The team is directed by Pr. Gilles Grimaud and counts six permanent faculty members. The team has been involved in several national and European funded projects such as the EU CATRENE eGo project.

Innovalia Association is a an independent private Associated Research Lab, established by a group of technology-based companies that are all highly aware of that innovation, as an inherent business process, is a necessity for maintaining competitiveness. The Innovalia Association serves as a mean for articulating critical mass to successfully address the ambitious and long-term research objectives of the associated companies. The association was founded in 2002, sprung from Innovalia, which is a strategic alliance of companies with more than 20 years of collaboration in research and innovation. Innovalia allied companies have participated and headed numerous research projects, funded on a national, international or bilateral basis. Innovalia's business activities broadly span the whole European market, covering the supply of RTD services, the networking of private and public companies with heavy emphasis on SMEs, SME collaboration activities and SME training.

The Innovalia Association is organised into three different Units: Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) Unit; Nanotechnology and Advanced Metrological Unit; Manufacturing and Knowledge Management Unit. These units assemble skills, laboratories and resources from the allied companies and they also benefit from a high degree of collaboration with external companies, both on national and European level. Innovalia Association is member of the Innobasque Network, which is made up of various Basque organisations with innovation is a strategic priority. Innovalia Association is the coordinating entity of the FP6 Integrated Project Nano-CMM, one of the few integrated projects led by a high-tech SME. It has also long experience in technical coordination of projects, such as iTETRIS in FP7, and the already finished FP6 projects MULTINET and CSA REDEST. It has also served as Business Innovation Office of the FP6 Integrated Project Co-Spaces and it is the Spanish cluster representative of the European Europortal Project. Innovalia is furthermore taking part in the SECRICOM FP7 Integrated Project "Security communications for Crisis Management". On national level, Innovalia is the technical coordinator of FASyS, one of 18 Spanish flag-ship industrial R&D projects in 2009 (CENIT programme), addressing advanced ICT solutions for secure and healthy factories of the future.

The Innovalia Association plays an important role, moving naturally between on the one hand long-term innovation strategies in collaboration with technology centres of highest level and on the other hand a business minded approach with focus on the commercialisation and technological transfer of the RTD lines explored.

In order to contribute actively to the improvement of technological services of medium-high level, one of the Innovalia Association's focuses is on the ICT area, with three fundamental axes. These are the communication quality, the security as a tool to ensure the sustainability of the Association's activities in the manufacturing industry, which also aims to generate new business opportunities and to be more attractive to the main world RTD units. The third axis is oriented towards software development. The development of agile methodologies as well as proactive and reactive embedded systems is going a step forward in the area of Software Quality. The expertise of the Association also comprises mobile services and applications aiming to improve the networking mechanisms and wireless infrastructures in industrial areas, as well as environmental intelligence through the creation of artificial vision algorithms.

Software Quality Systems, S.A. is an independent testing house expert in the design and implementation of verification and validation processes. SQS is specialised in software quality management and assurance. SQS helps enterprises and organisations make their development activities more successful and finish projects within budget and time by providing systematic software quality assurance. The customers of SQS are relevant players within the telecoms, aeronautics, pharma, railway, electronics and banking sectors. SQS expertise comprises high technical background in designing, implementing and managing complex testing environments. SQS is in the position to offer the experience, knowledge, methods and tools that are currently implemented in SQS Test Lab, as a primary basis for the creation of new Test Platforms. Intelligent Transport Systems
RESONATE MP4 leads the development of XOPS, an innovative Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Connected Vehicle system for operational management and mobility supervisory of critical infrastructures. Main customers are currently airport companies for improvement of airport airside safety, security and productivity. XOPS is also suitable for smart city projects and industrial sites such as power plants or factories with high requirement in control of vehicle mobility and related operations.
